One of the biggest frustrations I had when setting up my video production equipment was lighting. I went down and purchased a lighting kit and bulbs from Home Depot that Mike Koenigs recommended. It was cheap, around $120 for a set of two lights and one hand held. I used this for uploading video to my Traffic Geyser account.
The problem that I eventually ran into was portability. After searching Google I found this great site called Tubetape.com. They had some amazingly affordable equipment. I was able to pick up a new backdrop stand and some lighting for under $300. You won’t find it cheaper anywhere on the Internt. On their site was a great vido about how to pick the right lighting for your purposes so I loaded it onto our site and you can see it here on the Lighting page.
